WA: Police rescue mother and baby from Perth siege
PERTH, Dec 6 AAP - A mother and baby were rescued by armed police after a three-hour
siege in suburban Perth, police said.
Police said armed officers stormed the home in Dianella yesterday after a man threatened
to kill the seven-month-old baby girl and her mother.
Early this morning a 28-year-old man remained in police custody and was being interviewed
by detectives.
A Perth police spokesman said officers were alerted about 12.30pm (WST) that a man
had allegedly threatened to kill his partner and daughter.
Negotiators attempted to talk the man out of the house for three hours before the armed
officers moved in.
Nobody was injured in the incident.
