PROJECT WILL COST $90-100M 1,221 UNITS OF HOUSING.(Local)

The proposed Guildercrest housing project will include 1,221 housing units, a number of stores and offices and will cost $90 million to $100 million, according to the developer.

Albert Friedman, president of Capitol Real Estate in Rotterdam, said the project has been in the works for 25 years and the current plan is the 14th that had been drawn for the site.

He said the land to be developed was made up of 22 separate parcels including the Winter Garden Riding Stable. The stables may remain a part of the project to be used as a recreation area, he said.
